Topshop Gel Nail Collection

Topshop Beauty recently released their first Gel Nail Collection, boasting an easy three-step formula that uses ultra long-wearing technology to keep those nails in check, for up to 10 days. With 12 high-impact colours ranging from the cute light nude to a deep purple hue to choose from, there's no need for UV light all thanks to their shellac infused formulations.    

For nail polish fanatics like myself, who are always on the look for products that will get them as close as possible to a professional salon-finish manicure without damaging the wallet, and leaving the house, I was all eyes and ears for the new collection.

Having given a selection of the new products from the collection a run through for a few weeks, here is a quick and easy three-step guide to achieving professional lust-worthy looking nails. The Gel Nails Top & Base Kit (£12) and the Gel colour (£8) Ruse were used to create this simple nail look. 

Step One: 

Apply Base Coat - Keeps nails strong and well nourished. 

Step Two: 

Colour - Apply two coats of your desired gel nail colour.

Step Three: 

The Finale - No manicure is complete without a top coat. Infused with shellac, this provides a super glossy professional finish.

Verdict: Pretty much obsessed with the formula and finish of the polishes, and how quick the nails dry with UV lighting. The only downside would have to be that chipping occurs just after two days of being applied (tried and tested twice between two weeks). Hopefully, this is something that can be worked on if the collection is updated.
