May Beauty Favourites

It's been a while since I've shared my beauty favourites with you all, so here we go! I've got a variety of skincare, haircare, body care and makeup products to share with you guys this month.

I'm still trying to figure out an actual skincare routine, as I'm always quite crap at keeping that up. During my visit to Berlin, I popped into Lush and was given a sample of The Sacred Truth Fresh Face Mask. After trying it out, I knew I had to buy the full size! For the longest time, I have been been looking for a decent priced mask that can really give my skin a nice glow/radiance when it's looking quite dull. This product gives me that and beyond I'm telling you! Its smooth butter like texture, makes it a dream to apply. I leave it on for around 20 minutes before I take it off. It leaves my skin feeling sooo soft and smooth, and it seals in moisture so you also get that plump supple feel to the skin. After about a day of two, that is when the radiance shows through. I can't get over how amazing this little pot of goodness is!

Next up is RMS Beauty Raw Coconut Oil. I think it was the minimal packaging that made me pay way too much for what it is. I tend to use mine as a cleanser. I lather it onto my face and leave it on for 30 minutes or so then wipe it off with warm water and a muslin cloth. I just really like how soft and moisturised it makes my skin feel after. I also like to put it on the tips and edges of my hair at night, to prevent dryness.

Next up is the only hair product - Ricard Ward's Keratin Shine Vitamin Boost* I love hair products that give my hair a nice healthy sheen/shine, which this product is great for. I like to use this in conjunction with a heat protector during a blow dry to get the best results for my hair. The spray is packed with Vitamin A, which helps to improve hair texture, and enhance sheen, and also Vitamin B5 & E, which help to boost hair health.

A brand I have been meaning to try out is Bliss, as I've heard good stuff about them. I was delighted when I received the High Intensity Hand Cream* and the Daily Detoxifying Facial Toner* at the Fashionchick Blogger Network launch. The hand cream is a life saver - I suffer from dry hands all the time, so I'm always looking for products that keep my hands moisturised for long periods of time, and this is the one. As well as keeping my hands very moisturised, it has also been keeping my usually crappy cuticles in check! I had never used toners before, but was keen to give this Bliss one a go. I use the detoxifying facial toner in the morning and evening after I have washed and cleansed my face, and then apply moisturiser. What I love about this toner is that it is not harsh on the skin, it smells fresh, acts as a nice light primer/base for makeup, and keeps my skin hydrated and soft.

Onto some make up bits! After taking a liking to the Kiko Skin Evolution Concealer  (which was included in my previous beauty favourites post), I was very keen to try out the Kiko Full Coverage Concealer. It's quite similar to MAC's Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer, but it's lighter on the skin which I love - as it gives such a natural finish under my eyes! I can't seem to get enough of NYX Cosmetic's Slim Lip Pencils! It's such a shame that they are not readily available in the UK. I made sure I stocked up on my favourite shades when I visited Berlin. They are very pigmented and soft on the lips, which is just the best combo when it comes to lip pencils. Pictured are the shades Espresso (Deep Warm Brown), Never (Warm Plum), and Natural (Nude Pink). The E.L.F Studio Blush Palette in Dark has all the blush colours I could ever need. The shades are very pigmented, and I find that they complement my skin tone pretty well!

Lastly, moving onto Nip + Fab, which has been gaining a lot of hype as of recent, especially with Kylie Jenner becoming an ambassador for the brand. I do love to pamper my skin as much as I can, as it genuinely makes me feel 10 times better when I'm not feeling totally myself! Here I have two body care products from Nip + Fab's 'De-Stress Blend' collection which my skin seems to love! The calming combination of frankincense, orange blossom, and sandalwood fragrance,  in the Body Lotion and Body Scrub work a treat. From past body scrubs I have used, none have been as gentle when exfoliating my skin as this one has, but I still feel like it does the exact same job in keeping my skin soft, smooth, and radiant. The body lotion's scent alone is lovely and not overpowering. It lasts pretty long on my skin, which you don't get with a lot of body lotions. I did also have the Body Wash which I used like tap water (I didn't want to take snaps of an empty bottle ha)!

That's it for this month's beauty favourites!
