Afternoon tea ... not something I would normally participate in, but when asked if I'd like to indulge in some sandwiches, sweet treats, and tea at the beautiful Lancaster London Hotel, I was more than happy to give it a go! I bought my mum along to enjoy with me, and we had a great time gossipping over gallons of English Breakfast tea, smoked salmon filled sandwiches,  macaroons and more ...

Situated in the heart of central London, overlooking Hyde Park, Lancaster London Hotel is pretty hard to miss once you step out of Lancaster Gate station. Upon entering the lobby, we were taken a back by the beautiful grand interior design. We made our way to the hotel's lounge area, and were greeted with smiles and hellos from the friendly staff, before being shown to our cute little sofa area.

Tea was of course the first option and we opted for the classic English Breakfast tea. A sand timer was propped up on the table to let us know when our tea was perfectly brewed. I've never been a tea person at all, but quite liked this one!
Traditional sandwiches such as Egg & wild cress and Cucumber were next served, my favourite being the ones filled with smoked salmon (I live for smoked salmon). Wild mushroom, chicken and tarragon tartlet, Roast beef filled Yorkshire pudding with horseradish cream, also accompanied the sandwiches. Next up, plain and raisin scones served warm (the best way), with homemade strawberry jam and Cornish clotted cream. At this point, I was gradually losing the ability to find space to accommodate the sweet treats awaiting permanent departure from their plates. I really couldn't pass on the white choc olate and raspberry lolly pops , apple and honey cupcake, lemon fruit tart, caramel & hazelnut tranche, passion fruit & raspberry macaroons, so space had to be made!
With it being pancake day and all, pancakes were at the ready for us too - neatly folded with a side of syrup and orange slices - yum (and I am not a pancake person!).

Afternoon tea at The Lancaster London Hotel was a real treat, it's nice to have the opportunity to really wind down, chill out, and have a good old conversation, in a warm and comfortable environment! Starting at £30 per person, the price is quite steep, but If you're looking to treat someone, go for it! The service is impeccable, and the food was lovely and surprisingly filling!
Thank you again Luxe PR!
