A Giveaway with Glasses Direct (Ended)
I now say good bye to my beloved Ray Ban glasses (that have been with me through thick and thin for the last two years), and welcome this funky London Retro pair thanks to Glasses Direct! For those who don't know, I wear glasses, and have been wearing them everyday from the tender age of six! To give you a rough idea of how bad my eye sight is, its equivalent to Daphne's from Scooby Doo - "I can't see without my glasses!" - yikes. For the past two years however, I have been switching between glasses and contact lenses - oh the sweet life (not)!
I've been through many glasses in my day, and have always stuck to dark colours, and patterns have always been void. When I was given the opportunity to pick a pair from the London Retro collection, I decided to go for something a little different - the Highgate design, which I've received plenty of compliments on when I wear them! The frame is not too big, or small, and I love the contrast of the tortoise print and the purple! At times I was intimated by the boldness of my old Ray Bans (wayfarer style), as you could spot them from a mile away, and my face basically hid behind them. The Highgates are a total opposite, they complement and enhance my face shape, rather than completely taking over my face. I think that I wlll always be a fan of square shaped frames.
Not to forget, Glasses Direct also do a 'Free Home Trial' which basically allows you to 'Try before you buy'. You get to choose four of your favourite frames to try out. Giving you the chance to see what suits you and what doesn't, before you take the plunge to buy a frame. Definitely a service I would recommend.
