#MatalanMovieClub | Midnight In Paris

Last weekend, I was kindly invited to a lovely event hosted by Matalan - #MatalanMovieClub.
The event took place in one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever set foot in; the Bvlgari Hotel located in Knightsbridge. We enjoyed a private screening of Woody Allen's 'Midnight in Paris' and a look at Matalan's A/W collection.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a glass of champagne and then got talking to a few other bloggers. Then we were treated to the yummiest canapés, mini burgers/pizzas, salmon blinis, macaroons and more! I am now a big lover of macaroons after trying them for the first time a few weeks ago! 
After all the mingling, we were whisked off to the hotel's private cinema room. Before the film started, Ruth from Matalan quickly gave us a talk about the future plans for the retailer. 
I surprisingly enjoyed watching 'Midnight in Paris'. It was a nostalgic romantic comedy and definitely left me with the Paris blues, made me want to go back to the beautiful city right there and then!

There were a few pieces from their AW13 collection set up on rail for us to have a look at, and I must say, Matalan are really stepping up! My favourite piece from the collection has to be the grey textured cocoon coat, which you can find here.
I do actually shop in Matalan on occasions, but I will be popping in more often, as I am impressed with their latest collection. Fab designs and most importantly, nicely priced!
Hopefully Matalan will have their stores join all the other popular high street retailers within the next couple of years!

The event was definitely something different which I liked, as I'm a mega movie fan, you'll always find me in the cinema! I had a great afternoon and I'd like to thank Matalan for hosting such a fab event and inviting me!
