The graphic tee - a cool and savvy update to the mountain of plain tees that we all own, and a versatile piece that instantly breathes new life into any off-duty look. Although they've been around for decades and were everything and more back in the day, there's no denying that they have come back full guns blazing with every fashion head wanting a piece. The graphic tee has been my go to this summer - so very easy to style with other basic pieces, always adds a little fun to a look, and best of all, they're extremely affordable.
An easy way to carry these into the fresh new Autumn season is pretty simple. Layer, layer, layer. From minimal to hardcore, the style to designs tees these days are endless. My personal favourite being the cool rock band graphics, as I love the vintage/retro vibe they exude. Please excuse the fact that I don't actually listen to rock music. Although, I was a big fan of Evanescence & Linkin Park when I was younger if that helps...
OVERSIZED SHIRTS
Oversized shirts work great when creating this look, as you can really play around with shapes/silhouettes. I styled mine as an alternative to a light jacket pretty much. If you really want to pack a punch, opt for a stripy style that still works well to complement your graphic tee.
JEANS
These days jeans that come with a little extra detail are highly favoured, whether their hems are frayed, uneven, turned up, distressed at the knee, paneled at the thigh, or have some sort of embroidery/embellishment placed. Styles with a high waist and looser fit such as mom and straight legged jeans are a perfect match for a cool graphic tee to be tucked into.
ANKLE BOOTS
The black ankle boot... a style of shoe that pretty much needs to be an essential in everyone's shoe collection. Need I say more?
