Lyon Photo Diary
Having fallen head over heels in love with Paris the first time I stepped off the Eurostar a few years back, I couldn't help but think whether other French cities could compare to one of the most popular cities in the world. After a short break in France's third largest city,
Lyon
, I thought I'd share a few images from my time there. With great weather, beautiful architecture, plenty of things to see do, and an abundance of great food, Lyon is definitely a city full of French charm!
Spending some time walking through the quaint cobbled streets of
Vieux Lyon
(The Old Town) was definitely a highlight of the trip for me, we spent hours taking it all in, as it was such a huge difference to the modern side of the city! Bursting with vibrant architecture, cute boutique shops, and plenty of cafes and restaurants. A trek up the Fourvière hill I'd also recommend, where you'll find the beautiful Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière, which boasts a stunning view overlooking the city. After this trip, I'm definitely more intrigued by what the other French cities have to offer!
