New Year: Getting It Together

January 02, 2018

Happy New year folks! I hope that the transition into 2018 was smooth for you all! Despite ending in such a flash, 2017 was quite a long bumpy road for me. There were definitely a lot of lessons learned which will help me put the following into action this year:

1. Learn to say NO more. As stubborn as I am, this is definitely a weak spot for me oddly haha.
2. Go and get it. Most opportunities don't just appear, you have to create them.
3. Challenge yourself and take risks. Stepping out of my comfort zone is a must.
4. Seek more inspiration. For the sake of my motivation, this is also a must.
5. Set goals. One thing I failed to do for most of 2017 was setting goals, due to not really knowing
what to do and what I actually wanted. Saying that, there will be times in your life where you
don't know what you want exactly, so it can be quite difficult setting yourself goals! 2018 will
become the year that goals will be set in stone and actually achieved.

6. Surrounding yourself with positive and like-minded people.
7. Making mornings the most important part of your day. Once you start your morning wrong
the whole day gets thrown off! So less time must be spent in bed scrolling through my phone on
social media, when I really should be getting on with my day. Here's to getting into a good
morning routine! “Morning is an important time of day, because how you spend your morning can
often tell you what kind of day you are going to have,” –Lemony Snicket.
8. Taking care of your body. You know what they say, health is wealth.
9. Don't waste time. A raw material of productivity that I need to value more.
10. Know your worth and believe in yourself. Nothing worse than not having your own back.

Hopefully at the end of this year, I will look back on this post having followed through with these actions.

I'm currently redesigning Hands of Style as this space needs a fresh start! The new website should hopefully be ready to launch by the end of the month. Super excited, and I can't wait for you guys to see it!!

What goals have you set yourself this new year?
