Making Pyjama Shirts Work for Daytime Use

June 14, 2016

For me, when I like what I like, I stick to it season through to the next and so on, ignoring whether or not something is in season/on trend. However, one trend to briefly touch on today is the daytime use of Pyjamas/Pajamas/PJshowever you may want to call them! Being that they are extremely comfy, and ooze a dangerous amount of chic, the hype is pretty understandable.

Over the years, I have accumulated a couple of pyjama shirts only to ever be worn as casual everyday pieces. As new and interesting styles pop up everywhere, it was only right to add a newbie to the collection, in the form of subtle florals.

So you've bought a pyjama top, and have now come to the realisation that... "This shirt is way too pretty to be confined to just the four corners of my bed". Well here are a few quick and menial styling tricks for making your nightwear work for daytime use (excluding those long daytime naps in the comfort of your bed) ...

Opt for PJ shirts with a silky finish. They tend to fall better on body compared to those made from
cotton. Plus, they look extra chicoh yeahh.
For a casual look, pairing with high waisted jeans can never really go wrong. Always my quick go
     to (as pictured above).
If you're going for a more dressy look, perhaps a pencil skirt or wide leg tailored trousers, and a
pair of heeled sandals or pointed courts thrown into the mix.
— Feeling a little adventurous? Why not go for a style with a fun prints, such as florals, stripes or
perhaps cats (whatever floats your boat)? They generally tend to look less like PJs
     when styled right.

What are your views on the pyjama trend? Likey or no likey?
