This Spring I have really become quite accustomed to wearing dresses and skirts. With the string of denim jeans and trousers that you would usually see me jump in and out of daily, it's a refreshing change. This fiery red H&M number definitely is the best of both worlds—perfect as a dressy dress, and even better as a daytime dress. Looking forward to rocking this number shamelessly throughout every season until its threads begin to loosen—typically being the beginning of the end to a very fruitful relationship between woman and dress, so hopefully that day never occurs.

On the agenda: a very last minute family dinner. The flaming hot dress has to debut, just after a day of being acquainted with my wardrobe. Threw it on so fast, I almost gave myself whiplash (you know it's love when you're excited to wear a nice piece of material out). It was only right to capture this look before heading off to indulge in food and gossip. One minute the sun was shining in all its glory, and the next, I was welcoming a somewhat tropical rainstorm. Such a great example of British weather being well, typical British weather. Only here can you experience all four seasons of the year in one day.

As you can probably tell, I was really digging the whole shoulder cleavage/exposure, obviously inspired by Rihanna and her ballsy red carpet look for the 2014 CFDA Awards. My trusty bomber jacket did well role playing as a shrug too.

Possibly all down to the run-up to Summer, the need to inject a rainbow of colours into my wardrobe has resurfaced. Starting with red. What is it about this ardent hue that has suddenly caught hold of my interest lately? I kid you not, the last four items I have purchased have been red. Described as a colour that exudes strength, confidence, and excitement, it certainly ties in well with how confident and content I have started to become in myself, which in turn shines through my personal style. I for one truly admire those who are assertive with their own style (whether they have completely defined it, or are still developing it), dressing for themselves rather than the onlookers—expressing who they are in the most honest way possible. You really get to see an overt extension of one's character/personality.

Through much trial and error in my style journey, I've definitely reached a pleasant destination
for now—as I'm pretty sure it will continue to evolve, as I inevitably deviate slightly towards new and different things over time. How would I describe my personal style? Refined, innovative, easy-going, comfortable, and thoughtful. What I choose to wear is always reflective of my mood—one way to express myself without saying a word.

How would you describe your personal style?
