When it comes to eating out, I'm more of a Dinner type of gal. However, when I was invited to try out Foxcroft & Ginger, I was keen on the aspect of Brunch. Me and my mother made our way to the new Whitechapel branch on the morning of my 22nd birthday (getting old, I know *cries*).

A short walk from Whitechapel Station, the trendy cafe/restaurant was easy to locate which is always a bonus when you're hungry. We were welcomed with smiles, and hellos as we entered. I loved the whole interior/decor of the space - it had a pretty much lived in and worn out look to it - very industrial chic.

The menu boasts a variety of yumminess (with a great deal of eggs) from Breakfast, and Lunch, through to Dinner. We went for breakfast style choices. As the Eggs Benedict virgin that I am (or was), it was only right to finally give it a go. I'm a hardcore fan of salmon, and made the mistake of ordering the Egg's Benedict with pulled pork (how? not too sure), Buttt, it was delicious - served on F&G's infamous sourdough bread. We both (well my mother basically copied me), also ordered the sausage, eggs, and hash browns muffin, with a side of 'bloody Mary sauce' - not too sure want kind of concoction that was, but it tasted good nevertheless! The price point is pretty decent too, with dishes starting from £5.

I was told that every morning, freshly baked goodies are delivered there from its Soho branch - impressive. I had  a couple of chocolate fudge brownies and carrot cakes to go, and boy or boy did I stuff my face as soon as I reached home in the evening! Foxcroft & Ginger have now taken the best carrot cakes ever title from Costa hands down.
Overall Foxcroft & Ginger was a real (birthday)treat, great customer service, a nice chilled environment, lovely food, and of course, a big thumbs up to their fresh bakery! Love a good carbohydrate overdose I do.

Thanks again for the invite Roxii!
