Style Stalk - Rita Ora

Sexy senorita will feel her aura! Rita Ora is the talk of the town at the moment after hiding away in the studios working on her debut album for a few years, she's finally coming out of her shell into the spotlight! While she is super talented, her current music may not be for everyone but she definitely makes up for it in the fashion department. With a style not to be reckoned with, you can't help but wonder who exactly is her amazing stylist! 

The best way to describe her style, is EDGY as she has said her style "doesn’t really have any boundaries" just like her style inspiration Gwen Stefani. Her bold lashes, curly blonde hair and bright red lips are a fashion statement on their own!. 

Rita's style is somewhat laid back with no rules so you may catch her wearing a mini skirt with a pair of Jordan's!. Her style is totally up my alley, I've noticed we both share the same love for beanie hats! Thumbs up for Rita!

One of my favourite outfits from Rita so far. Very laid back look with the high platform heels adding a touch of femininity. This look is all about the layers! Some people may find this too fussy but I personally love it!

I've been keeping it casual this week as I've been busy revising, not much time to go out really. 

I want another pair of converses but I'm not sure on what colour, I want something that will go with most things that I wear! I've also been wearing the threads out of my DIYd Levi shorts, I may try and find another pair to stud heavily (inspired by The Ragged Priest).

Really loving my flower print bomber jacket from Zara I purchased recently, it's super lightweight so it's perfect for spring/summer. The weather right now is just ridiculous, talk about April showers!

I thought the price for this jacket was reasonable as similar printed bomber jackets are currently available at Topshop but at they're priced higher surprisingly! 

I'm in love with these denim shorts, they are perfect, done to the fraying, I've been looking for acid wash denim shorts for a while. These were purchased from New Look.

Pretty Pastels

I'm really the pastel trend so I thought I'd brighten up my look for work whilst the weather wasn't exactly bright! A way to turn this to an evening outfit would be to swap the leather jacket for a crisp white blazer. I need a white blazer preferably in a loose fit, perfect essential for summer!

This is definitely a trend that I'm seeing a lot among high street retailers. I would say they're very much inspired by high end designers such as Mary Katrantzou, Stella McCartney & Givenchy. Stella's psychedelic Hawaiian floral mirror prints from her S/S '12 collection have definitely caught my eye, loving the tropical feel! My love for the Frech fashion house Givenchy is forever growing and I just can't get enough of the bold eye-catching mirror prints.My wardrobe will be full of these prints for Spring/Summer!

Zebra Print

I'm definitely trying to fill up my wardrobe with bold prints and I'm glad I found these babies (zebra print treggings) in New Look. i brought the last one in store the day I went, and a memeber of staff said they sold out quick! They are not of the same material as usually leggings, they are almost like trousers. So here, I was on my way to my friends leaving dinner ay Harvesters, as she was leaving my work place :(, I will miss her!

Casual

I'm absolutely loving my new structured top I purchased from H&M. It is from their 'trend' line which I absolutely adore, that line is oh so chic. It's kind of cool how tying a shirt around your waist can change up your outfit lol. I wasn't going anywhere special yesterday as my cousins came over 

and we decided to do a 'photoshoot' in a near by garage area lol. Imay post a few pics of those soon.

New In ..

I'm trying to cut back on shopping, it's not going to well. I've recently purchased these two items. A structured grey detailed top from H&M; their trend line. I've wanted brogues for soooo long, and I am happy that I came across these ones from a shop called Linzi shoes in Westfield Stratford centre. They sell creepers almost identical to the branded (Underground) creepers  only £35, however they felt really cheap and foamy it was quite weird lol. 

All Black Everything

This Engish weather is very Bi-Polar, sunny one minute raining the next. I just felt like wearing all black that day (mostly) and a pop of colour (my yellow top which is hard to see lol). Whilst taking pictures, the rain just came crashing down on me and my sister, so we ran for cover! One thing I hate is rain, I just don't fo rain.

Givenchy-ish

So lately I've been obsessing over Givenchy clothing. If my wardrobe was to consist of only one high end brand it would be GIVENCHY. Riccardo Tisci is doing an amazing job I must say! What I love most about his designs are his use of wild mirrored/symmetrical prints. Its a shame not all highstreet brands haven't quite grasped the concpet yet, hopefully they do because thats all I want to be sporty during summer; striking mirror prints! I have noticed Zara mostly and Topshop are using the design concept on their clothes actually. This week I couldn't resist going into Zara , I swear i could by the whole store, everything this season is sooo appealing! The t-shirt I'm wearing is what I brought from Zara this week, I just had to have it because of the mirror print, the material and everything is just perfect. It was giving me that 'Givenchy' vibe tbh! 

DIY Inspiration: Zara Leather Detail T-Shirt

So I've been lusting over this t-shirt from Zara, it's basically a slouchy tee with leather detailing on it. I wanted it in grey and it was always sold out it that colour. This week I spotted it in Westfield Stratford Zara and it was the last in store! So I quickly grabbed it and made my way to the cash desk, while waiting I just thought "Hold on, I'm paying £20 for this t-shirt just because it has 'leather detailing' on it when I can DIY!?" I have a 'a lot' of left over leather from when I made my leather pouch! So I just need to find a nice t-shirt to DIY on and then I'll be satisfied!

DIY Distressed Denim Shorts

So  yes, I decided to distressed my vintage levi shorts as they were just too bland! These shorts will be  worn a lot during summer for sure, although I probably start wearing them now lol. I shortened the length of the leg parts a bit by cutting the sections off with a pair of scissors and I used a small blade to do the slits. After, simply I frayed the bottom and the slits.

DIY Inspiration: Distressed Denim Shorts

 For the past month I've been searching on eBay and in retail stores for the perfect distressed denim shorts but have had no luck. I only own a pair of shorts and they are vintage levi jeans that I cut up. I've plucked up the courage to customise them a bit which you guys will see in my next blog post! For now, enjoy the pictures :) ...

Todays OOTD! A few days ago I purchased this Blazer/Coat from Zara. It was on sale for only £14.99 down from £99.99! I had snatch it up, I love blazer styled coats and I don't a coat in this beautfiul dark green colour! Absolutely loving my creepers I wear them all the time lol, they're super comfy!
